FL series — Air cooled oil cooler

The air cooler is a kind of heat exchanger with air as cooling source, the heat is taken away by the air,we also called it oil cooler or air-cooled oil cooler. In general, the heat dissipation effect of the air cooler mainly depends on the heat exchange area and air volume of its component. At present, the air cooler used widely is made of aluminum alloy with good thermal conductivity, the fluid channel and the wind channel are advanced plate fin structure, the core is made of vacuum brazing, and the fluid channel is provided with internal fins. In a nutshell, when the heat transfer area is the same, the greater the air volume, the better the heat dissipation effect. When the air volume is the same, the larger the heat transfer area, the better the heat dissipation effect. The air cooler is commonly used as an auxiliary part of the hydraulic transmission system to cool the hydraulic oil, in order to obtain the normal working temperature and improve the stability of the hydraulic system and the service life of the parts.

    Precautions for use

    Cooling pipeline considerations
    (1)It’s recommended to use independent circulation cooling circuit.
    (2)When connected to the pipeline of hydraulic system or lubrication system, make sure that the oil return is continuous. Intermittent oil return will have a large pulse pressure, independent cycle installation is necessary. For safety and reliability reasons, bypass valves must be installed on the inlet pipe to protect the cooler.
    (3)The flow of different hydraulic oil is different, there should be a suitable margin to ensure safe flow.
    (4)Pipe diameter can not be changed or reduced, especially the outlet pipe.
    (5)Try to use the straight connector as far as possible, do not let the tubing bend or use high pressure hoses to reduce the return oil drainage resistance.
    (6)Follow the principle of the smaller the bending angle and the fewer the bending times.

    Precautions for Installation

    • When installing, it’s necessary to consider the distance between the air inlet/outlet and the obstacles to avoid poor ventilation.
    • The foundation must be firm, and the base must be securely fixed to the foundation. When installing the tube, filter and sleeve, use a wrench to fix the connected part to avoid damaging the cooler. 
    • Because the interface is made of aluminum, maintain proper torque during loading and unloading to prevent deformation.
    • The outlet pipe can not smaller than the interface, the cooler must avoid installation in the pipeline with pulse pressure.
